Kids Moisturiser

6 Best Body Lotion for Kids in India 2026: Ceramide & Oat Formula

TL;DR

In short: children need fragrance-free body lotions, preferably with a barrier-repair ingredient. Of all the kids' moisturisers reviewed on Dermatocare.com, CeraVe Moisturising Baby Lotion stands out because it contains a full ceramide complex and is fragrance-free. Next on our list are Minimalist baby lotion, Eucerin Baby Lotion, Aveeno Baby Daily Moisturising Lotion, and Cetaphil RestoraDerm Moisturizer. All of them are fragrance-free and compatible across all ages.

How to Choose a Kids' Moisturiser

As a dermatologist, I recommend parents choose a kids' moisturiser with these three qualities:

1.     Fragrance-free. A child's skin barrier is still developing, and fragrance can trigger allergies. Fragrance can also carry undisclosed impurities like phthalates, which are not safe for a child.

2.     Barrier-repair ingredients (ceramides, cholesterol, phytosphingosine) to support a child's skin barrier, which is still developing. This matters even more if your child has very dry, eczema-prone, or reactive skin.

3.     Free from unnecessary or harsh ingredients. We exclude these before listing our best picks. Every product below has been checked and does not contain them.

"Caution" does not mean a product is unsafe. It means the formula falls outside our strictest newborn/toddler benchmarks, most often due to added fragrance.

Ingredients to Avoid

After reviewing 20+ kids' moisturisers available in India, here's what I screen out before a product makes our recommended list.

Parabens. The evidence is still debated, but a paraben-free option is the safer default for a child.

Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, such as DMDM Hydantoin and Quaternium-15.

Artificial colours and dyes.

Alcohol-based formulas. These can cause dryness and stinging on a child's skin.

Fragrance. Fragrance and certain herbal extracts can irritate sensitive skin and aren't required to disclose their individual components. For sensitive or atopic skin, a fragrance-free formula is the safest choice. Of the picks above,Eucerin, CeraVe, and Aveeno are fragrance-free.
