Dandruff regime
For stubborn, persistent dandruff in men, this regime uses Dove Men+Care Anti Dandruff 2in1 Shampoo+Conditioner (1% Zinc Pyrithione) daily or on alternate days, alongside Selsun Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (1% Selenium Sulfide) twice a week for thick, resistant flakes.
Step 1 (AM)
It has 1% Zinc Pyrithione, which controls the yeast that causes flaking and irritation. It uses a sulfate-based cleansing system (SLS/SLES), strong enough for daily oil control on an oily scalp.
Use it daily or on alternate days as a maintenance wash, alongside the stronger, twice-weekly Selsun shampoo for stubborn dandruff.
Step 2 (AM)
Best For: Persistent, thick flakes on normal to oily hair (twice a week).
Key Strengths: Powered by Selenium Sulfide 1% for targeted Malassezia control, alongside moisturizing agents like Glycerin and Dimethicone.
Drawbacks: Sulfate-free, but contains fragrance and colorants; limit use to twice a week to avoid irritation despite marketing claims for daily use.
