Viticolor Vitiligo Camouflage Cream: Dermatocare Review

Viticolor Vitiligo Camouflage Cream: Dermatocare Review

Viticolors works by tanning the white patches of vitiligo. Viticolor contains 2 sunless tanning agents Diydroxyacetone(DHA) and Erythroulose that react with amino-acid in dead skin cells impart tanning to your skin. Viticolor can be used to hide the vitiligo patches that are visible on the face, hands and feet, etc.

How to use Viticolor?

  • Wash and dry your vitiligo patch. To ensure uniform colour, the skin should be thoroughly cleansed and dried.
  • Viticolor gel should be applied to the vitiligo patch using the flat part of the brush.
  • Begin to apply from the centre of the depigmented area, then draw the product in circles toward the border to avoid any demarcation.
  • Allow to dry.
  • After 8 hours, if the resulting colour is too light, renew the application until you obtain the right colour.
  • Once the right colour is achieved, one to two applications per week is enough to maintain the coloration.
  • Always wash the spillage of Viticolor on hands or surrounding, or else it may leave marks on your clothes or normal skin.

What are the side effects?

Few studies point out that DHA can be genotoxic and increases production of harmful free radical in skin. Therefore, please take following precautions:

  • Do not use of Viticolor on vast areas of skin daily, rather the use on larger areas of skin should be restricted to some important occasions only.
  • Viticolor can be used to hide FEW white patches on the visible part of your body regularly.
  • Avoid sun exposure to patch on which Viticolor is applied for 24-48 hours.
  • Don't forget to protect the camouflaged patches from the sun because even though your skin appears dark, it lacks the pigment melanin that protects from harmful UV rays.
