St. Botanica Activated Charcoal Hair Shampoo Review

St. Botanica Activated Charcoal Hair Shampoo is sulphate free shampoo with activated charcoal, that claims to detoxify your hair. However, we could not find any scientific evidence to support this claim.

OUR RECOMMENDATION: St. Botanica Activated Charcoal Hair Shampoo can be used for dry to normal hair for nourishing the strands.

Pros:

  • St. Botanica Activated Charcoal Hair Shampoo might nourish and moisturise your hair with the help of aloe vera, oat extract, olive oil, and almond oil.
  • It claims to help in hair regrowth with the help of aloe vera, green tea extracts, eucalyptus oil, and spearmint oil. However, this effect might be too less to notice, as discussed in this video; Best shampoo for hair fall.
  • It might make your hair softer, silkier and shinier with the help of Pro-vitamin B5, silk protein, Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, glycerine.
  • St. Botanica Activated Charcoal Hair Shampoo is free from Parabens, Phthalates, and Formaldehyde releasers.

Cons:

  • St. Botanica Activated Charcoal Hair Shampoo might not remove oils from oily hair.
  • It has charcoal that claims to detoxify and remove impurities from your hair. But we could not find any scientific evidence to support detoxification action of charcoal on hair that too in a contact time of 2-5 minutes.
